Suzu enjoys helping out at her grandmother’s second-hand kimono shop. However, one day, her grandmother is unexpectedly hospitalized, leaving Suzu alone in the quiet, empty shop. The peaceful atmosphere is soon disrupted when Suzu accidentally opens a drawer and discovers an ancient fox mask. To her surprise, the mask transports her to another world, and she quickly realizes that her journey there is no coincidence… The original edition of the comic won a bronze prize in Japan's International Manga Award in 2022.
Katarina Kratochvílová is an illustrator based in Prague. She focuses mainly on commercial illustration, such as magazine covers, illustrating for children’s books and games. Her work is specific in its distinctive lineart and also in the combination of analogue and digital media. Most of her work consists of illustrations for children and young people. In her freelance work, she focuses a lot on Japanese culture. She prefers to collaborate on projects with a nature or folklore focus.
