“It was a day like any other. Grey clouds were rolling over the horizon, and the cold and dampness crawled into the marrow of the bones…”
Midnight Images draw loose inspiration from fairytales and mythological stories of Northern Europe. Their origin traces back to January 27, 2023, the day Johanka was born. With her sleep, she granted her mother some time for drawing. In the dimly lit bedroom, she opted for a black background with white lines to see them better. That’s how Midnight images came to be. They are not called “midnight” because they are black or because the mother made them mainly at midnight, but because they were created when it was midnight for Johanka. Hopefully, a gentle, honeysuckle-scented breeze will caress your hair and Johanka's in a dream.
