Danilo Milošev (1963, Vršac, Serbia) publishes under the name Wostok, Ex-Wostok, and Mediokritet, and is one of the most important and influential figures on the Serbian underground comics scene and indeed one of the scene’s founders. He has been drawing and publishing comics since the mid-eighties. Other than comics, he is also a painter, filmmaker, and musician playing in the band Tehno Muda with his brother and father. In the meeting we will talk about the roots of the underground scene in the Balkans, artistic route from amateur zines to 5-star reviews in Comic Journal, and how one retired vet decided to become a legendary punk-rocker.
