The Duo of Docents is made up of sociologists Lucie Jarkovská and Kateřina Lišková, who deal with sexuality and gender. They popularise the results of their research through stand-up. They use humour as a weapon of engaged science that not only describes reality but also has the ambition to transform it. They offer the audience a reflection on contemporary issues and topics such as gender inequality, human rights or sexuality in education. Recently, they published a book called Feminist Fast and Easy, which features comics with dolls known from their instagram. The illustrator Leny Vítková created the artwork for the book. Their comics are thus the result of a unique collaboration between academics and an artist.


Kateřina Lišková is a Czech sociologist. She works at the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. She co-founded the field of gender studies at Masaryk University. She has also worked at the Technical University of Berlin and Columbia University in New York. Her research focuses on gender, sexuality and expertise. She is a founding member of the docent standup duo.


Lucie Jarkovská is a sociologist with a focus on gender. She works at the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University in Brno as an assistant professor at the Institute for Inclusive Education Research. She popularizes the topic of gender and feminism in the form of stand-up comedy as one half of the Duo of Docents.


Leny Vítková is a book illustrator, graphic designer and product designer from Opava. She works with names such as Euromedia, People in Need, Benlemi and FNO. By teaming up with Duo docents in 2023, she contributed to the book Feminist Fast and Easy.
