Tomáš Staněk is intricately connected to KOMA on multiple levels. As a talented young illustrator, comic book author, and this year, a member of the musical ensemble DBKL x MNDT.


The fusion of Prague's rap tandem DBKL and the DJ and producer duo MNDT results in a rich blend of genres. It ranges from straight-up grime bars to ambient melodies and poetic outbursts, all with rap as the common denominator. Their collaborative album Prototyp (2022), spanning an hour, mixes influences from a myriad of musical styles. The exposed lyrical component oscillates between unapologetically irreverent humor, fuckery (surprisingly edgy for such kind-hearted individuals), and tender, deeply introspective moments. There's something in it for everyone.
